Android v4.10.0 introduces ad companion support and addresses several issues.

With the release of iOS SDK 4.9.1, various fixes have been deployed.

New Feature

An Offline policy has been added to the Default DRM Policies. Offline playback will no longer be checked by default in the Highest and High Default DRM Policies. Learn more about the Offline and other Default DRM Policies.

Android 4.9.1 addresses an offline DRM issue.

Bug Fix

• Addressed an issue where one of the Offline DRM classes was obfuscated.

In Android 4.9.0, offline DRM playback, lifecyle improvements, and several fixes have been released.

New Feature

Opened up access to metadata for unsigned requests for DRM media. Now unsigned Delivery API requests to Single DRM media objects and DRM Playlist objects will return metadata (e.g. thumbnails, descriptions) along with unplayable video source URLs.

Playable video source URLs are only returned on signed requests. This enables an anonymous user to browse content in a web app but requires the user to be logged in for video playback.

With v8.26.5, we've enabled the ability to resize the player on Tizen, removed the timer on DVR live streams, and addressed several player issues.

• Removed the timer on DVR live streams as scrubbing backwards would show negative times.

JWP introduces offline DRM playback to the iOS SDK. Support for iOS 10 & iOS 11 has been deprecated. Additionally, various player fixes have been deployed.

New Feature

Support for external media IDs added to the Media Library, media detail pages, and Imports page for Enterprise customers. External media IDs can be added and edited individually or in bulk using the external media ID field in MRSS imports to streamline migrations and content management workflows across platforms.
