We’ve expanded the Bring Your Own Renditions (BYOR) workflow to give you more control over how custom audio and text renditions are identified and used during playback.

New Feature

You can now assign role metadata values to your custom audio and text renditions when using BYOR. This allows players and downstream systems to better understand the purpose of each rendition, such as distinguishing between main audio, commentary, descriptive audio, captions, or other text-based tracks.

This update helps you do the following:

• Clearly identify the role of custom audio and text renditions
• Improve playback behavior and track selection across players
• Support accessibility, localization, and advanced content workflows
